Terraced rice fields of Mu Cang Chai have been ranked as national relics by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2007. At present, the Thai village has six families who are in the business of home-stay services. Located at the centre of a peaceful valley surrounded by a pine tree forest and terraced rice fields, it is home to the Thai ethnic minority people who have a long-standing and diversified traditional culture. Po Mu timber stilt houses in Thai villages are usually two-storeyed with a balcony. The first floor is used for dining. We had dinner together and ate baked pondfish, baked leaf-wrapped pork, bamboo shoots, freshwater crab soup and salted eggplant.

ABOUT THE MR. DON HOME STAY IN GROUP 10 - MU CANG CHAI TOWN
Welcome to our house. It is a large traditional stilt house of the white Thai ethnic. Our homestay includes 3 large double beds rooms and 4 single rooms accommodating up to 10 people. All room have window open to the view of the garden and surrounding lanscape of peaceful countryside with outside patio area. They are all on the same storey, fully equiped with linen pillows, clean curtains and full sanitary equipment. There are two bathrooms with hot-cold shower, wash-basin sunk * Amenities and services at Mr. Don home stay.
Stilt house was built by Po Mu wooden, it was combined between traditional style and modern style of Thai ethnic people with fully equipped, cool and clean.
